Good city centre location, within walking distance to most locations in town centre. Good size rooms and comfortable beds with fluffy pillows. Could not get heating to work correctly in room, staff were helpful and moved me to a different room. The cooked breakfast was average and there was a variety of choices. The overall hotel was clean and tidy. No parking at the hotel, there is a NCP car park right next to it and it is at a discounted rate.
Broke down outside, waited an hour for recovery truck but needed to use rest room asked politely and got told its just for guests. I couldnt blame the guy I saw 15 mins later having a leak at the side of the hotel. Good on him! Hope all the guests enjoy The smell as they go into the hotel. Suppose thats why its good and not excellent!
For the price of the room and for one night it was absolutely fine. It isn't particularly luxurious and I wouldn't stay here for a holiday or romantic weekend away but for business purposes it was suitable. I ordered room service and although it took a long time for someone to answer the phone to take my order the food arrived much quicker then expected and was a huge portion so again good value for money. Large choice of food at breakfast including healthy options. Friendly and helpful staff so all in all a good stay
Great place quite, room was comfy and clean. Any hotel gets top marks from me especially if they got a bath and iron an ironing board in the room. Friendly staff good self service breakfast area that cater for most needs. Be my first choice to stay again next year for my next visit.
Stayed here for work. Nice rooms and for the price I'd say very reasonable rooms. Not very powerful showers and no biscuits in the room. The food however is over priced. 12 quid for a buffet breakfast is very high. At dinner I had chicken and potatoes. They charged 15 quid. Well overpriced. Its chicken and potatoes.... I'm staying here all next week for work but will be eating outside the hotel.
