I got a text message last week from this firm telling me that I was due in Bradford Crown Court on Monday morning. News to me! E-mailed them suggesting that they might have made a mistake. Now Wednesday evening and still no response from them (although I haven't yet been arrested for non attendance). Doesn't strike me as a very professional set up.
Firm 'handled' a case for me that was to defend against a party that had admitted liability for what could have killed my son, however the case was dragged out, they failed to EVER speak to me and instead side stepped my requests for information and documents relating to my son and then to top it all off, when compensation was awarded through the courts (for a sum that is in NO way close to what it should have been) they then proceeded to hold onto the payout for almost 4 weeks without reason. When it came to the day that we were told the funds would be placed into my son's account, it took 2 days to establish they had messed up a cheque (which they never notified us about), failed to BACS payment on the initial day they stated and then it took for me to have to chase the firm for the money to be paid or tell them that I would be sat in their offices the following day if not paid.I can honestly say that the biggest relief from all of this is that we will NEVER have to deal with this company again.
